North American Beaver: Place-based Ecology - This presentation will look at beaver ecology through the eyes of a child. The instructor grew up in Idaho City, and saw first-hand how beavers influenced the ecology in his own back yard. He will also discuss the history of beavers in North America and how they were the driving force behind western exploration. The wrap up talks about restoration, conservation and beaver related issues.
