A Field Guide to Wildlife of the Boise Foothills

This guide was developed to facilitate accurate identification of native and nonnative wildlife. It contains color coded bars across the top of each page to indicate the general classification of the animal (mammal, bird, reptile or amphibian, insect), the general activity pattern or presence in the Boise Foothills, widely used common names of species, the recognized scientific name, characteristics for identification, interesting facts, and other animal attributes.
