Bitterbrush Seed Collection
Fish & Game Volunteer Program
Bitterbrush seed has ripened faster this year than in over a decade and we need volunteers to collect the seed to continue our upland habitat restoration in SW Idaho. Seed from this project will be grown into seedlings used for restoration projects by multiple agencies and in multiple areas around the state.

What you will need:
We will be collecting bitterbrush seed from a site near Lucky Peak. Please remember to wear layers and bring suitable clothes for the weather, boots, gloves, hat, and sunscreen. It can be hot so bring plenty of water. Volunteer activities are subject to change due to weather conditions. You will need to bring a sack lunch and water for the day. Collection equipment will be provided. There are no restrooms at the planting site but restrooms are available at the MKNC and at the Lucky Peak Nursery where we will be visiting shortly before returning to Boise. Transportation is provided. Please let us know, so that we can make sure you have a ride! If you want to drive yourself, then please let us know by putting that in the comment box above.
