It is the National Audubon Society's 116th Annual Christmas Bird Count, the 49th for Boise! Right now, a team of volunteers are in the process of redrawing the interior of the Boise circle to reflect the changing times, demographics, and technology (with the rise of GPS data), so please do attend the Count Day morning meeting for the latest info, registration and to choose assignments. Some bird identification skills are required, but we will teach you what you need to know. Dress warmly, bring binoculars. RL Rowland is the primary coordinator. He will provide breakfast pastries (participants bring their own beverage). For those not wanting/able to participate in the field on Count Day, there is a Bird Feeder Count component.
Contact RL Rowland for more information on feeder counts or any questions about participating in the Count Day: 208-336-9808, rlrowland@centurylink.net
