Birding on the Bethine and Litter Patrol
~ An early Sunday morning activity provided by the Golden Eagle Audubon Society: Park at the Greenbelt parking area, SE of the Bown Crossing Library. Then the group will walk the Bethine Church Nature Trail going downriver, birding and picking up whatever bits of litter found along the way. Birds abound in the pond river and riparian wooded habitat. Expect to see songbirds, waterfowl, woodpeckers, herons and kingfishers. ~
Walk is usually finished around noon hour. Bring water, binocs and a plastic grocery bag, in case trash is discovered, it’s usually minimal, No public restrooms are available. Please be advised that weather conditions may postpone the birding walk as scheduled.
