Beginners' Birding at Barber Park
~ An early Sunday morning activity~ ~ Please join Golden Eagle Audubon Society (GEAS) for a Sunday morning bird walk in the park! This walk is a beginner-friendly and is well-suited for people totally new to "birding". Topics this talk will cover include how to properly use binoculars, tips and tricks for identifying birds, and common species in the Boise area. The walk is along paved and gravel pathways. Expect to see: ducks, herons, geese, raptors, woodpeckers, songbirds, quail and kingfishers. (Photo of kingfisher courtesy of Idaho Department of Fish and Game)
Note Meeting location: The front of the Barber Park Education and Events Center. Restrooms are available onsite. Binoculars will be provided if needed, and please advise at registration! Please wear closed-toe shoes and weather appropriate clothing. Also be aware that unexpected weather conditions may postpone the bird walk.
