Due to continued flooding along part of the Bethine Church Trail, we are switching to Kathyrn Albertson Park.
Meeting location: Katherine Albertson Park at 1001 S. Americana Blvd. We will meet outside on the sidewalk at the main walkway into the park and walk together around the paths.
Join Golden Eagle Audubon for our monthly beginner and family-friendly bird walk at Katherine Albertson Park. This is a great opportunity to learn about riparian habitat as we focus on local birds, plants, and stewardship efforts in the area.
Expect to see songbirds, waterfowl, woodpeckers, herons, and kingfishers.
This monthly bird walk is targeted towards beginner birders, so if you are brand-new to birding, this is the outing for you! We will cover basics like adjusting your binoculars, how to use field guides, and tips & tricks to identifying birds.
Public restrooms are available. We will travel between 1-2 miles on flat, unpaved trails. Binoculars are available to borrow if needed.
Please wear weather-appropriate clothing and comfortable walking shoes.
Participants under 12 years old must be accompanied by a guardian and guardians must sign the waiver for participants under 18 years old.
