Join Golden Eagle Audubon and the Wednesday Birders at Foote Park and Lydle Gulch. The pace will be slow to allow all to enjoy the birds and watch any interesting bird behavior.
Migration should be underway so we will see what may be passing through this riparian area. We will endeavor to cover the entire loop. Whether we start on the north side or the south side will be up to participants. The north side is sunnier, and therefore warmer, than the south side, but better for photography as the sun should be behind us at the beginning of the walk.
Please note: The trail is very uneven and rolling with short steep sections. The greatest amount of parking is at the lowest end, so we will meet there.
This trip is best for participants with some birding experience. Binoculars will be available if needed.
Participants must be 16 or older to participate. Participants younger than 18 must have a parent/guardian sign the liability release.
Time: 8:00 - 10:00am
Restroom Availability: Restrooms will be available.
What to bring: Bring some closed-toe shoes and binoculars. Be prepared for warm and sunny weather. You may want to bring some sunscreen, water and a hat to shade your eyes. No dogs please.
Meeting place: Meet at the lowest parking lot of Foote Park and we will walk up to the trailhead.
