Foothills Native Planting at Harris North
Wednesday, Nov. 6th, 10am-2pm
---
Join us to help plant native shrubs, grasses, and wildflowers, by hand, to enhance the natural habitat for pollinators and wildlife.
Meet us in the Coffee Mill Parking Lot and then drive and park near the site. We will take a short walk to where we will be planting in the foothills at Harris North. We planted at this location last fall. We will also be planting at another nearby hillside as well.
You can park along the road, Trapper Place, near the trailhead or walk or bike if you live close-by in the area.
What you will need to know and bring for planting days?
We will provide the plants, tools, equipment, and any guidance or training needed for the day, so you can join us for a relaxing day outdoors.
Feel free to bring your own gloves, tools, kneeling pad, and/or gardening trowel, if you would like to.
You may also need water, a snack, hat, sunscreen, and sturdy shoes.
Be prepared for fall weather by dressing in layers. Fall is a pleasant time of year, but it may be a little chilly to start and then it usually warms up as the day goes on.
