Join our partner, the Idaho Native Plant Society - Pahove Chapter's Monthly Meeting. What: Welcome to the Pahove Chapter of the Idaho Native Plant Society. We are located in Boise and support the citizens of the Treasure Valley and southwestern Idaho. Anyone interested in botany, biology, wildlife, pollinators, landscaping, gardening, hiking, photography and/or simply being out in nature is very welcome to join. Where: MK Nature Center, 600 S. Walnut Street When: Tuesday, March 11, 2025 @ 7pm MST Lynn Kinter- A Tale of Two Gardens We will cover two gardens that have been installed in the last 4 years at the Idaho Fish and Game office in Nampa. In front of the office is an educational garden showcasing native plants used by wildlife. Out of the public eye is an informal garden of natives and non-natives installed to replace a weed strip. Both gardens include xeric species favored by pollinators. The educational garden features signs funded in part by the Idaho Native Plant Society. We will discuss native plants that have worked well in these two gardens, and tips for installing and maintaining these types of gardens. REGISTRATION: 1) INPS: Pahove Chapter Registration: Not needed to attend. 2) Pre-register with Harris Ranch Wildlife Mitigation Association at www.hrwma.org for class reimbursement.
