Riparian Planting: Alta Harris Creek & Pond Area

Meeting Location: Eckert Road parking area or overflow parking at Barber Park
Join us in planting about 100 cottonwood saplings grown by a local high school horticulture class that we have partnered with for the past few years. Our conservation partner, Trout Unlimited, will be there with us to restore these riparian areas by planting cottonwoods and other vegetation that naturally grows along streambanks and ponds.
We will provide the native plants, tools and any training needed for the day. You can bring your own tools if you choose to. Dress for spring weather and please wear sturdy shoes or boots that you don't mind getting dirty and maybe a little wet. Bring any water and/or snacks that you would like to have for the day. Parking will be at Eckert Road parking area or overflow parking at Barber Park if necessary. Please see map below which shows the overflow parking.
