Beginner Bird Walk: Bethine Church River Trail

Expect to see songbirds, waterfowl, woodpeckers, herons, and kingfishers.

This monthly bird walk is targeted towards beginner birders, so if you are brand-new to birding, this is the outing for you! We will cover basics like adjusting your binoculars, how to use field guides, and tips & tricks to identifying birds.

No public restrooms are available. We will travel between 1-2 miles on flat, unpaved trails. Binoculars are available to borrow if needed.

All levels, including beginners, are welcome. Participants younger than 12 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian and participants younger than 18 must have a parent/guardian sign the liability release.

Please wear weather-appropriate clothing and comfortable walking shoes.

Contact information: Please contact trip leader, Lorraine Poor, at lorrainp@mac.com with questions.
