Please join the Intermountain Bird Observatory for Fall Habitat Restoration.
We need your help to restore understory shrub cover at our Lucky Peak research station. We will be planting mountain ninebark shrubs in an area that was burned by the Valley Fire and disturbed by follow up forestry activities. We will provide training on all of the work we'll be doing.
WHEN: Friday, October 31st 10am to 2pm.
WHERE: IBO's Lucky Peak Research Station at the top of Highland Valley Road. We will meet in the Diane Moore Nature Center parking lot at 10am to form carpools, then caravan up to IBO's Lucky Peak station. Please plan to share rides to reduce the number of vehicles in our small parking area at Lucky Peak. Four-wheel or All-wheel-drive, high-clearance vehicles required. (SUVs, Subaru Outbacks, or similar vehicles with approx. 7.5″ of ground clearance). The road to Lucky Peak is a steep, winding dirt road with a *small* parking area at the top.
