Beginners Bird Walk Bethine Church River Trail

Join Harris Ranch Wildlife Mitigation Association community partner Golden Eagle Audubon for a monthly beginner and family-friendly bird walk along the Bethine Church River Trail!

This monthly bird walk is targeted towards beginner birders, so if you are brand-new to birding, or new to Boise, this is just the class for you! 

Expect to see songbirds, waterfowl, woodpeckers, herons, and kingfishers. This bird walk is also a great opportunity to learn about riparian habitat with a focus on our local birds, native plants, and land  stewardship efforts along the trail. Topics will also cover basics like adjusting your binoculars, how to use field guides, and tips & tricks to identifying birds by using available mobile apps.

The Bird Walk is 1 to 2 miles long on flat terrain. Please bring binoculars, otherwise let Audubon know at registration link and they can lend you a pair~

Since temperatures are now cold please wear weather-appropriate clothing and wear comfortable walking boots or shoes. All participants under the age of 18 yrs old must be accompanied by an adult. Please be advised there are no public restrooms available.

NOTE: The bird walk requires 2 - Levels of Pre-Registration for all   participants. Please do not show up for the event if you did not pre-   register online!
